Me and Joni - how lucky that one of my best friends was also there to share these great days!

Bec, Me and Adrian the first day!

Sisters under the pretty pink trees!
I feel so blessed and amazed at how the Lord works miracles. So many things had to happen for me to be able to go this year and everything worked out. Wes's parents came and stayed to help him because we weren't sure when he'd be traveling. I really needed to be there and was uplifted and renewed.

I have to catch up -Lachlynn's Blessing Day

May 3, 2009
I was blessed to be able to stay for this special day for my beautiful neice, Lachlynn Sheppard! I was in Utah for Women's Conference and got to stay longer. So fun to have time with my family! Always makes me miss them even more!

I'm Bleeding!

My poor Jarom! I just couldn't resist this photo since I had my camera right there! My boys often come in bleeding in a panic. I've finally learned to stay as calm as I can -but blood is something I don't do well! Brennen was kind and cleaned up inside while Josh scrubbed the porch outside. There is quite a hole in his elbow and we hope to avoid stitches. Oh, the joy of boys!

YOU WON'T BELIEVE!!! Just a few hours later he came in from the front yard and tore open his toe. He kicked the street, not the ball. The skin lifts completely off! This time he said it is the worst day of his life! He said he's going to die because it hurts so bad. A few minutes later he was begging to go back outside!

Our Amazing Boys!

Josh and his awesome 6th grade teacher, Mr. Headley. Mr. Headley loves Josh and keeps telling us what an awesome family we have and that it is rare these days!
Our 6th grade graduate!
Josh earned the Reading Award and the Presidential Academic Acheivement Award (silver seal with letter from President Obama).

I couldn't get a picture of Dallin but he did earn the Academic Excellence Award for 3.5 grade point average, the Presidential Academic Excellence Award (Gold Award for exceeding on AIMS test in 2 of 3 areas and getting above 3.5) with accompanying letter from President Obama, Service Learning Award and his Service Hours Award for Honor Society.

Talent Show

Thanks to Joni for taking Ben to play with Jocie Clancy so I could video the kids!
Cutest Chimney Sweep ever!
Jarom hammed it up and was the loudest one!

Josh played in a trio and did awesome!
My patriotic darling! Brooky amazed everyone with her beautiful rendition of God Bless America! She's never had training and I couldn't find any background music and she sang it acapella! She is incredible! Of course I had to make her a new bow to go with her new outfit! Why do I start those things late the night before?
The kids all decided to try out for the Brinton Talent Show! Brennen didn't make it with his comedy act with a friend. He was so bummed. It was so hard to be happy for the 3 who did make it when he was so sad! Over 70 kids tried out and only 16 made it in. It's hard to be a mom! Love my amazing kids!

Fine Arts Ice Cream Social

Brennen's awesome!
Brookly
Jarom in the middle!
Josh
This was a fun night of great entertainment and each of the kids sang with their class! Ben entertained others in the hall with his kicking anyone who walked by. Thanks Dallin for letting us watch the show!

Our Drummer Is A Hit!

Josh with Band leader Mr. Lamonica.

His favorite place to be is behind those drums!

Josh's final concert of the year was lots of fun! He has grown so much this year in his drum skills! He was able to meet a professional drummer and have a lesson with him. I think the drummer, Aaron Bland, knew we couldn't afford lessons and he spent a long time with Josh. Josh got the Most Valuable Player award for Band! Way to go Josh!

Roses are Red

Wes brought me the most beautiful roses I've ever received! They stayed beautiful for a very long time! The deep red has always symbolized our deep love to me and I am so grateful to have such an incredible man so in love with me! I am truly blessed!

Mother's Day

This was a fun place to be!

My big boys!

In the midst of the wedding we also had Mother's Day! I have amazing children! Wes found the most beautiful roses and the kids gave me wonderful cards and gifts they made for me. I love the book from our ward about the cute things the kids say about me.

Father -Sons

OK, the Father-Sons outing happened to be the same weekend as the wedding so the boys went and came home early! Since we didn't get one last year, Wes really wanted them to go. I'll post pictures when I get them from the disposable cameras. Brookly and I went to Golden Canyon and Hobby Lobby for our Girls Night and we came home and watched "Beauty and the Beast", the LDS version. The acting was not so great but it was fun!

Mr. and Mrs. Eric Burns

Brookly told me on the wedding day, how much she admires Karisa because Karisa is always so nice to everyone! Karisa has been such a sweet cousin to Brookly and such a precious niece! They grow up fast! She looked so in love and so beautiful! Brookly has always looked up to Karisa and I hope she turns out just as sweet! I also hope she finds someone as good with children and as fun as Eric - Cinderella toes. LOL Amazing photos from our other niece who is starting her photography business and is wonderful! http://www.shutterspark.blogspot.com/ Look at her work!

Brookly and Calli (Karisa's little sister)
Sweet cousins!
Love the family weddings! What a beautiful day to be married for eternity in the Mesa Temple! Thanks for sharing the magical moment with us!

Final Trumpet Sounds

May 7, 2009 Dallin with Mrs. Dawn Parker, his Band teacher the past 3 years!
Her famous words, "Dallin, take 5." That means take away 5 points for talking!:)
We love to support each other and whether or not the kids want to go we bring them to cheer on their siblings! Congratulations Dallin on being 1st Chair Trumpet all year! You truly ROCK!

Our Green Room!

Mommy's Big Helper! What an adventure anything is at our home! This room would have been done much sooner without the daily interruptions!I love how the piano look turned out! Peace at last!
Well, Wes decided to go to CA for work on this launch (his company sent him) so I decided to busy myself and paint the Living Room. We've had the paint for 2 1/2 yrs. since the remodel and it was high time to do something with it. It took me over a week to complete what I could reach and above the bookshelf still isn't done. With lots of HELP from Ben I love the feel of my new room! This is taking shape nicely to be my sanctuary!
