The Fun Begins

So every day I'm doing a hundred things for this new house.  Yesterday there were some stumbling blocks and I just keep praying they all work out since we know this is right.  The major one was that our money for the down payment was delayed 5 days because when I sent the forms last week overnight and paid for them to express 2 day it back to us they snail mailed us a letter saying they needed more info!!  We received it Tues and began the process of getting here here to deposit so it can be released and then wired to title at least 24 hrs before closing.  What a nightmare!  It did work out and this morning they finally processed it and it should arrive tomorrow morning so I can deposit it and meet with the bank manager to get it released sooner.
Next hurdle. Schools!  Legacy Traditional is what we've heard raved  about by those with their kids there, so we are still wating to hear if there will be another 6th grade class open up for Brookly and even if our boys are off the waiting list that's shorter to begin with for them yet.
I took Josh down to look at the High Schools.  Queen Creek was his first choice and we went to the office.  The lady there was very curt and rude.  She informed us that we are out of district and we can bring in the form but we won't know for another month whether there is room when she sees the numbers from the students who are "in district" first.  School starts there July 27th.  So that's a week before school starts that we'd know and he'd miss Freshman Orientation.  She was no help for what to do about Marching Band and we left rather disappointed.  We decided to try Poston Butte, the new high school that we had heard good things about from one of the ladies leaving a house we looked at.  Her son loved it and thought highly of it.  Queen Creek is only 2 miles from our house.  Poston Butte is a little drive 9.7 miles South of our home.  Now we aren't sure what to do.  There was noone at Poston Butte in the office.  The maintenance guy said they'd be back Mon.  We could also send Josh with his friend from years ago, Greg Ferguson, to Higley High also about 10 miles into Gilbert.  So another dilemma.
Keep praying the right choice for him works out.
Today there were some blessings and some set backs.  Usual for this process I'm sure.  I just finished a letter to the loan processor to find out why our Good Faith Estimate has our interest rate at 5% when prime is 4.5% today.  I hope he can help lower some of the closing costs.  Always good to make him work for his money right.  We did find out that the seller will help split the difference in the appraisal and selling price.  We also sent our inspection letter for the 10th day of inspection was today.  We hope they pay for a few of the things on the list but they were minor and not critical to buying the house.  I forgot how much stress is involved in any loan.
Josh and I made a good box run to Fry's.  We got quite a few produce boxes:)  Yea!!! It will happen!
